Removing compound/wax build up in crevices
Well didn't tape off the jambs and crevices when polishing and then sealing, waxing. Didn't think I'd shoot around in these spots if I was "careful"
Well now I need a trick or tool to remove this white build up from around my car - moldings and crevices on side skirts etc without damaging my paint. Any tips or tricks or tools I can grab that address this? Took care out in sun today and was surprised how much it stood out everywhere around my car (paint looks amazing tho)! if you dont have a good brush lying around as suggested, a toothpick will do the trick. if you have it on black mouldings you can try using detail spray or a good (safe) APC and cloth

I like to wrap one of my thinner microfibers around an interior trim removal tool and work that through the crevice.

Always tape before polishing. Its a pain but it will save you from work later.
Edit: Try Mother's Detail brush(es) that come in a pack of two.

Stick the edge of a microfiber towel in your mouth and get it a little wet, then slide it through the crack to get most of it. If any is left over a q tip would work great

bought this retractable brush from autozone that works for me. the other end has a rubber point thing that rubs wax out of crevices.

Q-Tips, and you can still find with wooden sticks, with some denatured alcohol should do it with a follow up of soap and water.

Also popsicle sticks wrapped in a thin microfiber + detail spray usually work wonders in areas that are hard to reach and you need a tool that is rigid and flexible at the same time.

Keep in mind that if you use an APC or IPA that will strip the sealant and wax from the car and you should reapply the protection to those areas afterwards.
