Opinion on buying this ZL1 or not

Hey Guys, I have been trying to track down a Summit White ZL1 for a while in my area and finally found one. It is a 2013 with 14,xxx miles for about $35k. I thought this was a very fair deal. So, since i travel for work, when i got home last week i called the dealership to see if they still have it. Good news, they did! Bad news, a tech that works there took it for a test drive and "hit a mailbox". No one at the dealership believes him but they cant prove other wise. Below are some pics, what do you guys think? They said they are ordering a new hood, fender, headlight, and door, no structural damage. My thought is, cars never really go back together perfectly so i'm skeptical. But, given the right price (you can bet i'm going to try to talk them down after they wrecked it) i may still be inclined. I am just so picky with my vehicles and dont want to spend this much on a car that isn't perfect. Also, Because it is going on 5 years old, and i know about the isolator problem, I am not sure of the factory warranty still existing or not. What do you guys think?

Hit them with $30k

You might get them to $32.

No sunroof or black 10 spokes plus the accident equals a big discount to me.

Does the car have any mods? If you are as picky as you say that you are (I'm very picky myself) $2k either way will not ultimately help because once the newness has worn off, EVERYTIME that you look at that car you will always be reminded that it's been wrecked and put back together. Pop open the hood, hmm, can you look at the fender mounting bolts and tell that they have been removed? Am I positive that the bodyshop put everything back together just as the factory did? What will the Carfax look like now?
Cars are only original once...
This is how I would look at it.

That's basically my thought process. There arent any mods, its a one owner car, super clean. But, even if the body shop does put it back perfectly, i will always know that some tech hammered the gas and put it in a ditch/hit something. Like i said if the price is right, i may still be interested.

My 02. is it never hurts to ask, but I doubt they are going to move mountains on the price.

I'm sure they know they will be in a better bargaining position when the car is properly repaired.

My $0.02:

No car is "perfect." Nothing is. If it's a minor bender, and all the parts and appendages align as they should, as others said: hit 'em with $30k or $32K...it is worth less now that it's been in an accident. If you have the cash it should be an easy sale if you're only $1k or $2k apart.

I would only buy it if it was sub 30k. Anything over 30k and I'd be out. You can find a clean, non crashed, ZL1 for 35k all day long.

Well at 35k you are getting a repaired one, but for 40k or less you could get a whole ZL1 with better mileage. I would walk.

If you could get it for about $31K I would go for it. A bumper and a hood is really not very hard to replace. I would make the deal right now as you have leverage, contingent on your final inspection of the vehicle of course.

Seems like too much BS to me...

I'd offer 28-30k max or walk away.

Agree with everyone else. $30k MAX !. But first think if you would be ok with having a repaired car. If it would bother you with the $5k lower price, then walk.
Like said above, IF...you would like the car, offer them $28k and don't go over $30k at all. If they don't want to move it, there are others if you have time and effort to look.

A bumper cover is one thing, but a hood and door, that wasn't just a scratch that would buff right out. Doesn't mean the car is junk but does mean price should reflect that.

I would want to know what the Carfax says, as that will impact the true value of the car.
