Question Front tire size

Anyone know what front profile size I need so my abs light doesn't go off like crazy right now??? I got Michelin PSS 315/35zr20s in the back and have PSS 285/30zr20s in the front ... I know bad choice learned the hard way, so now if I go with the PSS 285/35zr20s in the front would the difference between them be close so the abs system doesn't flip out??

Thanks in advance

Just put 315/35/20 on back and 285/40/20 on the front. No issues. Also keeps the rake the same with this size or at least this is what I was told by other folks on this site. The wheel diameter is almost exactly the same using this size tire. Hope this helps

275/40X20 is the same diameter as the 315/35. 285/40 will be a bit taller.

Thank you Craig appreciate the help! My only concern is they don't make a Michelin PSS in 285/40/20, and I wanted to keep the same brand tires in the front/back... But if I don't have a choice other than to get a 285/40/20, then I can live with that.

So I was looking around and found this tire down below.

https://m.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.js...artnum=84YR0P0

So I shouldn't have no more problems right? Thx again gonna wait a few weeks but eventually will pull the trigger on new fronts... the Christmas light dash is annoying!

Hi Fred so what would you recommend should I go down to a 275/35/20, 275/40/20? or will the 285/35/20 michelin PSS I listed in the first post do the trick, would like to stay with a 285 but they don't make a PSS In a 40... only one that caught my eye was the pirelli tire I listed to Craig... I wanted to stay with the same front/back tire brands but like I told Craig if I don't have a choice I can live with different brands. Thank you

Would like to keep the rake almost or as close too the same tho that may not be possible, but I come from the stock SS 40/45 tire size so no biggie if one size is a little bigger

Was looking at the recommended tire size thread and yup it said for a 285 a profile of 40 is recommended, so looks like pirelli will be the one I go with! Thx all again

It looks like you found your solution. The 285/40 is ~0.15" larger radius than the 315/35 so you should be good.

Why do you think the stock 40/45 are different diameters? They are ~0.01" different radius, so essentially the same. Narrower tires with relatively larger sidewalls = wider tires with shorter sidewalls.

245/45 = 14.34" radius
275/40 = 14.33"
285/40 = 14.49"
315/35 = 14.34"

Mathematically. Manufacturers can produce slightly different actual sizes.

Looking at the Tire Rack data for the Mich PSS, the 295/35ZR20 comes in at 28.1" dia which is a little closer to the 315/35ZR20 (28.7" dia).

The 285/35ZR20 is listed at 27.9" dia.

The 275/40ZR20 is a direct match (28.7" dia) to the 315/35ZR20.
