E85 conversion question
I've been researching the conversion and can't really find anyone with my exact set up. The 1le has the zl1 pump, so I should be good pump wise. My question is, do I need bigger injectors? If so, what should I get? Btw, it made 475/430 on a dynojet after the cam install. Mods in my sig...
I feel if all I need is the sensor and a tune, it's worth switching since there are plenty of stations in my area...and it's not a dd, so I'm not concerned about a change in fuel mileage. If I have to spend $1k on injectors, it may not make sense.... Thanks in advance!

I have considered an E85 conversion too, but there has to be some acknowledgement regarding the current political climate. This administration likes oil, not clean energy. Theyre building pipelines. Also, farmers receive government subsidies to grow corn for E85 production. Subsidies are another thing this administration is against. So I have to wonder what the longevity of E85 is. If the subsidies are cut and the farmers stop growing corn, the price of E85 will go way up. Eventually there will be very few stations carrying it.
Im not saying, I'm just saying. On the other hand, the conversion kit for my V6 is only $300, so its not a gigantic investment should the industry fail. Thus the reason I am on the fence. I already have a tune.

You'd want injectors, but something like used LSA injectors would be completely acceptable for your setup.
I've got kits available on www.dsxtuning.com. |

definitely check out dsx, I am currently running his e85 sensor in my car, but to get the most out of e85 you will need a tune

Yes, will get a tune... just want to make sure I got all the right parts on before the tune.

LS3 flow around 40lb/hr. LSA/LS9 are 52lb/hr.

Are the lsa/ls9 injectors big enough on an n/a setup making are 500whp on 93?
Does anyone here know what the duty cycle is running on this setup, n/a, with e85 using the lsa/ls9 injectors? Also, curious to what the average gains are by going to e85 on an n/a setup like ours? |

For NA, LSA/LS9 injectors are good to about 600whp.

You couldn't find anyone with your setup? There are a lot of cars on here with the same mods running Lsa injectors and zl1 pump. Think you were just being lazy
