Heavyweight shift knob
Hi All
I put in a delrin cueball (plastic) shift knob into my 2015 1LE (its made by the main vendor people know of on this site) but it's too light: it makes the shifts feels even more notchy so I ended up switching back to the stock knob since its heavier than the delrin cueball. Recently I came across Raceseng- and Barton- who make heavyweight knobs for our cars. Has anyone tried them before? The first vendor has a range of weights and styles to choose from. The second has an aluminum cue ball style knob, but I think they might be able to make a heavier all steel one. Both have their own 3/4-16 thread adapter so you SHOULD be able to interchange the knobs and adapters between both vendors. Links below (I think for the second link, the Corvette C6/Cadillac CTS V is the same adapter setup we need): Let me know if anyone has tried these, or any other weighted setup? https://bartonshifters.com/shop?olsF...num-shift-knob http://www.raceseng.com/products/shift-knobs/cadillac |

Go for it. I have this setup on my CTS-V and the weight makes a HUGE difference! Plus it looks great!

Yep, got the Black Pearl off twmperformance.com on my Hurst stick... just gorgeous... heavy, makes shifting feel like a hot knife through warm butter.

Sounds great! I'm in touch with Jarrett at Raceseng who will confirm the CTS V/C6 Vette setup will work for Gen 5 Camaros and then I'm going to order one... Will keep you posted

Anyone have a Raceseng Shift knob on their Camaro 6 sp? Pricey, but heavy at ~1lb and looks good depending of the selected style. Or a similar heavy knob? Tired of the white lightweight cue ball on my Hurst Billet shifter, will require a 3/8-16 adapter. BTW - Twmperformance seems to be out of business.

I have the raceseng slammer. Love it. I’m adding an extender next week.

Contact epco shift knobs.
https://epcomfg.com/shift-knobs/ They have a long product line and will also make you a custom one. I had them make one for my 2013 ZL1. Was around $100.

Hey V-14:
Yeah, I like that one. Heavy at 1.4 lbs! I assume you have it installed on a stock shifter (press on and lock screw)? So would a "extender" just space the shift ball up higher, and not anything related to the fit at the boot interface? |

Right, I am going with the extender to raise it a bit. I could have put the adapter a little higher on the stock stick, but after seeing it on there I think the extender will look better. The adapter has like 5 screws that tighten down on the stick, which is flat on one side. The knob does not slide around at all. Took five minutes to install.

Also, any chance of seeing what it looks like from a side view? |

A side view would be most helpful. I am considering this shift knob myself.

I just got an email from Raceseng stating that their shift knobs won't work with a 2013 Camaro. I'm puzzled, because I thought the shifters were the same 13-15 and we have a poster here with one installed on a '14??

Here is a pic with the extender. Pardon the unclean state of things.
