Price and tone?
Hey guys, so like the title says I'm going to be putting an x-pipe in place of the h-pipe on my NPP system, and I was wondering what should this run me at a muffler shop? It seems pretty simple so like 40 bucks? Plus what type of tone will the car have?

X-pipe tends to be a little "smoother" sounding at lower revs, gets rid of some of the muscle car "blub blub blub" pulse you get. At higher revs they SCREAM. It's a little more exotic sounding, and definitely more savage. I'm a fan!

Your not kidding!!!!! DAMNNNNN. BEST 60 bucks I ever spent, hands down. Sounds like it's rapping out more than it actually is and yes it got rid of that bleeting sound at like 2500 rims. A lot smoother too.

No sir, sounds absolutely badass, and going from the h pipe to the x the system is quieter down low and smoother with less rasp. I think with a cam it's going be ballistic. I was in your boat yesterday and I jumped ship. Lol

This is the closest sound I can compare it to that has good sound quality. Yes this car is cammed but it's rather quiet till he stomps on it then you can hear the higher pitched tone. Dammit I can't wait to get out of my seat.

People driving a l99 have the suitcase resonator making it suck with their H pipe and drowning out the AFM rattle...... And therefore not a good comparison to the manual in sound with its H pipe anyway... But hey you Have to figure shops are in it for the money $100 for that in a "most shops" cost kind of way. L-99s used to not have the NPP except in the ZL1 but it would be interesting to see any sound difference from x pipe to H pipe and any change if you feel it worth it...You obviously must you got the X.... And welding it in and placing it right after cutting out the H ,a HR labor I would say....

That being said I think an x-pipe would Benifit all NPP users. The tone change alone sounds "savage." Also, this was a 20 dollar summit racing x-pipe.
