Exclamation Last hope before open the engine ! PCV ?!!

Hi guys ...

I'm facing a problem with my 2012 2LT Camaro ...

My car is losing oil ... and after hours of searching I find out a huge amount of oil on the end of the air cleaner hose !!!

so I searched and most what I found was about the PCV ...

so my question is that ... does the part that marked with red in the attached pictures below the PCV and if it's the PCV how can I change it because I tried to remove it but it's didn't move a bit ?!!

PLZ help because I'm running out of options and I don't what to open the engine

That's the PVC. It doesn't need to be changed . It doesn't have a ball in it like the old days . The LFX engines do tend to burn a bit of oil depending on how hard you drive them.

Unless you are a female don't call me Dear .

I'm not sure what to tell you. Have you done a compression and leak down tests on the cylinders . I go through about 1.5 quarts of oil every 5 thousand miles.

I seem to recall reading up here situations where people's catch cans were filling up at an abnormally fast rate. I don't remember what the cause was, but it was something weird on the inside of the valve cover which was causing oil to be sprayed right into the PCV line. I believe it was a minor fix, but don't recall what the problem was at all.

I think it was called the orfice tube mod fix. That little hole in the tube that sticks out from the valve cover needs to be drilled out larger.

after I spent hours on internet (Camaro and other cars forums) ...
all of them told me that's the issue is a PCV issue
but it's confirmed that it's a piston issue

After we open the engine we find-out 3 broken pistons
so we changed them and changed the rings and now it's working well

So, the block was reusable? No scoring on the cylinder walls due to the broken pistons?

The block cylinder walls is 100% ok ... so only pistons and rings changed

Wow that must have been making some funky noises besides burning a lot of oil . I've never seen pistons break like that .
