Notchy 2-3 Shift

I know I've heard about it being an issue with this tranny in colder temperatures, and now I'm starting to experience it since the mornings are around 35-40 now. The 2-3 shift is really notchy until the tranny warms up a little bit. My question is why is this still an issue with this transmission? Is there anything you can do to address it besides going 2-4 until it warms up?

Who else is experiencing this?
