Key hole behind rear seat

I'm in the process replacing rear subwoofer when I noticed this:

Anybody know what this is for?

Isn't that to get into the trunk if the battery dies?

Either that or in some cases rumor has it that it arms the passenger seat ejection button to get it ready for any derogatory comments they may make while you are driving - once armed with the key the TOP must be down before the driver hits the hidden eject button.

Yep. So for us that store our cars over the winter and are pulling the battery, this is how you open the trunk.

I like the seat ejection button idea but my wife is normally in the passenger seat and I'm not thinking she would like that option.
