I have a 2015 2ls. I have k&n filter in stock/modified air box. Airaid elbo. I installed stock ss exhaust bigger pipe better air flow. The biggest change was to install a SS rear axle assembly. Since mine had the 2.92 gear I installed the manual 3.45 assembly. very noticeable difference in performance. before swap 1/8 mile was 9.68 in the summer heat. after swap 1/8 mile 9.09 in the heat expect to see 8.8's this winter.

Though your loving your v-6 the sound you may want might not be so attainable, so you have to go with what god gave you. The deal also is; it is what it is, other than some mild mods for a CAI and some exhaust the mod money is best spent on Vinyl or other things for you to personalize the car, as always on here usually the best mod for a v-6 is to upgrade to a SS....... You want to chase power, you could save up and go used zl1 with low prices now for fifth gens and maybe be into it about what your LS with turbos and or supercharging would be, If you want a kick in the pants a set of gears will make you smile......Listen to some exhaust clips on the net....and here form old posts, good luck you can use the search threads on the top menu bar with key words...... or go to the appropriate section.

I have the SS with the Stainless works exhaust system so a little different, but I 100% stand by the company. Since you have a mod budget, I vote for catback. Look at this link and look up some videos. Sounds mean as hell

I also want to quickly chime in on the "upgrade to a higher trim if you want more power" argument as I recently just went through this debate. Own the car that makes the most sense financially to finance. Then spend your extra car budget on mods to make you love that car more.
I want to mod my 2015 SS to add 100+ HP. My mod budget when this is all said in done will probably be over $5000. At that point it looks like It makes sense to upgrade to a 2013 used ZL1 instead. However, I'm financing my current car at 0%. The best I could do for the used ZL1 is 5 years at what, 3.9%? Doesn't always make sense to upgrade cars. Maybe this guy is in the same boat where he is paying for the most car he can afford on a monthly budget, and then sinking some extra money in when he can. I know that's what I decided to do. GL OP, hope you like the Stainless works stuff I linked, they are top notch |

You won't get that "american muscle" rumble from the 6. There are some setups that can give a nod to that sound at idle but with any throttle you're going get the V6 sound. The popular options are MRT2, SLP Loudmouth, Borla, Corsa. All of these are louder than they sound in clips so I'd strongly recommend trying to get some in-person samples. I ran an SLP Power-Flo on my 2010 2LT which isn't as obnoxious but was still enough to vibrate the wall in the kitchen next to the garage until it idled down and had some pretty good drone at highway speeds. It's all going to be very subjective. Do your homework.
CAI and such are minor gains and typically the returns are up near redline anyway. Looks neat under the hood, sounds good, returns with exhaust are minimal. Tuning, probably another solid net return. Go with Will Overkill for tuning. E85 options and such will also bring decent performance increases. Wait until you have most of your performance mods in place before dropping on a tune. http://www.getoverkilled.ca/products.html For boost, you'll definitely see gains but they won't be on par with V8 torque output without some major modifications. I did run an IPF kit on my 2010 V6 for a bit and it was fun but it's definitely not equal. I'd do it again though if the wife would let me slap one on the '14. She still says no. A side note, the Overkill supercharger solution is a much better solution than I had access to so the returns will be much improved if you want to invest the money (5-6k range). One upgrade I'd definitely suggest is rear gearing. With the M6 you've got, you're running 3.27's. Upgrading to the 3.91's will really bring that thing into it's own and numerically higher gearing compensates for lower torque output. This will probably be the upgrade with the greatest ROI outside of some form of power adder.

You're not going to get that deep "muscle car" rumble with a V6. The V6 has its own sound, sort of like a low end Ferrari. That's what I like about it. It's different than the typical V8 and has its own exotic-like sound and feel to it.
If Will @ Overkill ever gets around to it, then (Mace) cams would be a good option if you wanted to remain N/A. Cams, tune, exhaust, CAI and gears would have it running with the V8's. And, it would cost less than upgrading to a V8 model. |

Typical, It took only 2 posts to get to the "SS" debate with you people. Some people like to work with what they have. Get it through your thick heads.

This! You'll never get a V6 to sound like a V8. Look around, watch some YouTube clips and see which exhaust sounds the best to you. Good luck!
