Thinkin about going with Zex... Need a lil help

Wanna put the 75-175 system on from Zex, but I heard from some that the LS3 has too high of a compression ratio?! What does that mean exaclty? Is the compression Ratio too high? If I did get it, what's the highest shot I should do? Would it be ok to use every once in awhile

OrangeChevyII is running Nitro Dave's plate shot between 150 and 200.

I would say the information you are getting is not accurate. The ZEX systems are as simple and safe as nitrous can be. I have a very very close friend running a ZEX 150 shot on a Trailblazer SS for over 80,000 miles and is one of the top 5 fastest TBSS's in the entire country on the biggest TBSS board.

1.56 - 60'
7.10 @ 96.21
11.20 @ 120.49

That is at about 4700 race weight.A very simple base model with the ZEX control box is what this TBSS is running.

You can run thsi kit on the stock car....That is what it is meant for. You can use this kit and still have the car last 100k miles...Of course the more you use it, the more risk you run, but I would say that using the 100HP shot would be safe for a long long time.

I have sold a couple of these kits, and the customers have been very happy, and one guy has not installed yet, but I am sure he will also be very happy. He is waiting for a new engine and doing a 300 shot on top of 12psi of boost!

I run the zex kit with daves spray plate. 150 shot. LS motors love the juice. The clutch however does not I assure you.

i have a zex kit on a blown 4 cyl. i added a window switch as well as the wot box.
this way you can set it to skip 2 shift before enabling. eg only spray in 3rd, 4th 5th, 6th.
dont ever think of adding gogo juice unless you tune, and monitor car.

ps get the zex black, if you hate purple. fitting s are black too, wire loom the braided cables, and it is hard to spot.

you can run it on a stock motor. any more than a 35-50 shot needs a tune, or your buying a new motor. nitrous causes the explosion to happen at an accelerated rate, which is opposite of adv timing. you need to be able to retard your timing with a decent sized shot....or kaboom, eutectic piston failure and zero warranty.

not a bad idea to tune it, you would get more power out it if you did. i have ran the juice tuned and not. i would be sure to check your afr before you spray it and start small and work your way up on the jets and just make sure your afr stays in the safe zone. granted this was on a non ls car so i am sure its different for these cars.
