Procharger Kit on the cheap! How-to with parts list!
Okay so I pieced together a D1sc kit pretty cheap and figured I would do a little write up with parts list if someone wants to make big hp on the cheap side. You can get into this even cheaper with a P1sc.. Also I got all my new procharger kit parts from Bob @ Brute speed.
First I got a low mileage used D1sc with 2 seperate pulleys with belts and a bottle of procharger oil for $1800 shipped.. This will probably be the hardest part to find for you, but they sell on ebay a lot for around $2000. And you can usually get a P1sc for around $1700 if you're looking to make up to 600rwhp it will meet your goals. A D1sc will get you to 800+rwhp. It just needs to be a standard rotation P1sc or D1sc. They come on 3rd gen camaro's, 04-06 gto's, silverado's, and new 5.0 mustangs. I'm sure there is more. Just find a standard rotation and if needed get the serial # and call procharger to make sure it will fit your application... If your blower doesn't come with the belt and pulley you will need to buy them. You can find them used cheap or buy them new for $130 from brute speed. ![]() You will need an air filter for it. I got mine off fleabay for $15 shipped! Just type in (3.5" inlet 9.5" tall high performance cone air filter) and you will find it. Or you can get any filter with these dimensions and will work. ![]() Next you need to get the main bracket. This will mount your head unit and is the same for p1sc and d1sc Prochargers. I got this new from brutespeed for $940. It comes with new power steering bracket, main bracket, and all bolts needed to mount your main bracket and head unit. ![]() Then you will need the procharger modified stock balancer and the procharger crank pulley. You can get both of these from brute speed for $650 ![]() The next thing you will need to pick up is a crank pin kit. I would find a kit used. Since most people use them once when installing them and then usually just throw them in the tool box you can get them cheap from somebody who no longer needs it. Then you can just get a new pin for $6 from brute speed. I got mine for $35. So you will need a intercooler kit. Procharger has very nice ones, but they are $$$. I got my kit from cx racing off of a place that rymes with shebay for $599 shipped. (SearchCXRacing Intercooler Piping BOV Kit for 09-15 camaro). If you want black couplers just put it in the notes. This comes with a 50mm BOV that will do the job well... This kit fit really nice and is good quality with a BIG FMIC that will keep IAT's down nicely.. You will need to buy another 90* elbow coupler as the one with the kit is only 2.5" on one side and won't fit over the procharger snout. ![]() You will need a vacuum block for your BOV and Boost gauge. I got this off the bay for $15 shipped. Search (6port vacuum manifold) ![]() You also have to modify the top coolant hose due to the tensioner on the main bracket sticking out and being in the way of the stock hose. Procharger sells a bag for $75 you can buy with everything or you can go the cheap way like I did. I used a top hose off a 2000 ls1 camaro. You can get these for $20. I cut in two pieces and worked perfectly. And then just used 5/8 hose to connect the t-fitting from the upper hose to the oil cooler line that comes out on the drivers side between the alternator and balancer. You can see the hose I'm talking about in this pic ![]() You will need more fuel to support the new found power! I would look to get the injectors used for cheap. I got a used set of siemens 60lb injectors off the classified here for $230 shipped. I have ran these before on my turbo car and got me to 700rwhp and was still holding perfect a/f all the way through. You will also need a fuel pump. I got the ZL1 pump assembly off of summit for $212 shipped. Search ACDelco 19303293 Fuel Pump. I used the "trap door" method by cutting a hole just under the rear seats. Just be VERY carefull when cutting and cut JUST enough to go through the metal and no further. There are fuel lines directly under where you are cutting! I had zero issues and was a breeze! You cut a 7.5"x7.5" square from the rubber grommet on the left. Go to page 2 in the link below and follow the instructions by (MANNYS2SS/RS). Big thanks to him by the way! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...89#post5708189 Last thing you will need is a boost gauge. I got one used for $40. You can get these pretty cheap in a ton of places. Here I will list the prices of parts with links on where to buy them.. D1sc/P1sc Procharger-$1500-$1800 I can't really post a link for this. You will have to find a used one on Craigslist, fleabay or a forum like camaro5... Search for a standard rotation D1sc or P1sc. Main bracket-$940 http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-3GTBB...-3GTBB-001.htm Procharger Pulley+Belt-$80-$130 I would look for used 8-rib pulleys on forums or rebay for cheap first. If not you can buy it new from brute speed for a good price. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DPxxx...-ATI-DPxxx.htm Factory Modified Harmonic Balancer + Procharger 8-rib crank pulley- $535 http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-3GTDR...-3GTDR-001.htm http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DC034...DC034A-003.htm Crank pin kit-$35-$90 Again I would post a WTB thread on here and get one cheap. Got mine for $35.. Otherwise you can get it new at brute speed for $90 http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-3GKMM...-3GKMM-004.htm CXracing Intercooler kit-$599 You can get it here or the other source mentioned. $599 shipped. https://www.cxracing.com/products-by...-CAMARO0915-IC 6port Vacuum Manifold-$15 shipped Mods let me know if I need to remove any of these links to fleabay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Turbo-Waste...53.m2749.l2649 Air inlet for procharger-$15 https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-inlet-9...53.m2749.l2649 Top radiator hose- $17 This will need to be measured and cut to work, but works well. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/d...hoCKxUQAvD_BwE 3ft 5/8 heater hose- $7 You can get this at any auto parts store https://www.autozone.com/heating-and...171120042808:s 10ft vacuum hose-$10 Local parts store. 3" 90* Elbow-$10 Search for this on that well known bidding site 3" 45* Elbow-$10 Search for this at the same place! ZL1 Fuel pump- $212 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...xoCYtQQAvD_BwE Injectors-$230 Find the used on ls1tech or camaro5. I got a used set for $230 shipped on here. So this all totaled up will run you right around $4700 depending on head unit ect. To duplicate this buying a new kit with FMIC, Fuel pump, and injectors you will have $7000-$7500 into the kit. That's $2500 savings! So this is a cheap way to make around 700-800rwhp! Post in here if you have any questions and mods let me know if I need to make any changes...

Thanks for the complements guys. Post in here if you decide to copy this build and let me know how it goes and if I need to tweak anything. This should save people a lot of $$$.
I will add this is not for everybody.. Obviously this is for the guy like me who doesn't have the $ to buy a new kit and has the mechanical skills to do some stuff not following exact instructions.. It will take longer to piece things together then just buying a complete kit with everything you need right there. Yes you will need a tune as well. Everybody has a different way of tuning so I didn't include that. A mail order tune is a joke for a boosted application IMO. I would never trust it. I recommend either a street tune or dyno tune. Either will work, but do your research and make sure you find a good tuner.. If you are getting a street tune I would add an a/f gauge to your list as well. I have used AEM with good results.. I have EFILIVE myself, but I have my buddy who has tuned thousands of cars street tune it with his EFIlive and then I just make small changes to timing, a/f and shift points when needed. I plan to put mine on the dyno just to see what it puts down, but no need for dyno tuning for me. My tuner always gets it perfect.. I usually pay $300 for a full boost tune with free retunes.

I'm subbed too - awesome write up and work piecing together a killer kit for a reasonable price. This becomes a much more attractive option considering its the same price as a used take-off LSA. Already spent my full yearly car budget for this winter, but good god lookout next year lol. Cheers - hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving weekend!

Got the car tuned today. These computers are tricky. It was seeing knock for some reason and pulling a lot of timing... Could have been because I had some 87 octane left in the tank... Ended up with 10psi boost at 6k rpm and 12-13 degrees of timing. IAT's got up to 109 from a 40-120 pull so looks like inter-cooler is doing decent...

Does anybody know if the Paxton Novi 1500 blowers are compatible with that Brute Speed bracket for the Procharger?
