Opti Coat

Has anybody used this product? Is it hard to apply? Give me some advice on this. I have swirls in my clear-coat really bad that need severe correction.

if you're talking about Opti-coat ceramic coating, it's just the protective coating. I believe it will not remove, cover, hide bad paint defects/damage. You would need to do the paint correction first, then coat it to protect it. See the other thread on Chemical Guys products.

I don't think they even make the original Opti-Coat anymore. It was replaced with a more user friendly version called Opti-Coat 2.0, and more recently Optimum Gloss Coat, which is very easy to apply.

As already mentioned, if your paint is swirled up, it will have to be corrected first. This will require two stages, compounding, and finishing. Then a coating can be applied.

Before you can begin to remove swirls, the paint has to be prepped first.

After it's properly prepped, then you can remove the defects.

Once all defects are removed then you can apply a coating.
