Exhaust system

This has been used and abused. But I’m curious about a set up I have in mind. I have a 2014 Camaro 2SS. I bought the car with High Flow Cats (plan on keeping). I’m looking into TSP 1 7/8 Headers, wanting to run a X pipe, and a Borla S Axle back. Does anyone have this set up or did on the past that can chime in on it. Any thoughts on this particular brand of headers, and muffler

Hello, welcome to the site.

We have an entire section for discussions about engine, exhaust, and bolt-ons. I've moved your thread there, and as you wait for responses feel free to browse this area to see if you can get an answer for yourself or at least get a bit more background info.

? H/F cats on stock headers? And you want to install long tube, correct? then the current H/F's will not work, gonna have to change to the long tube ver of the H/F or go off road if no emissions..

is the car tuned? if not then the car is not realizing it's full potential regarding any mods..they go hand in hand..

give a shout out to dynoSteve at RDP...awesome tuner and he has special forum member pricing on his website...worth the time IMHO...good luck!

Our headers with X pipe should bolt up to the Borla S type axleback. You wont be able to use your cats without modifications.

I went from a lifted Silverado to the SS so all this is new to me. If there is no emmsions, is it best to run the off road set up? Or is it preference? And after everything is set up, I know of a guy who specializes is LS street tune out in Houston that I plan on using. Otherwise, I’d use DynoSteve.

Id go offroad. If you are in Houston try Chuck at Houston House of Power. As for headers and X pipe we are in Texas and if ordered today before FedEx picks up, I can have the headers to you tomorrow.

Anymore high flow cats flow just as well as catless pipes. You're looking at MAYBE 1-2 rwhp difference. It all pretty much boils down to if you want to smell unburned fuel or not. If not go with high flow cats, if it doesn't bother you and you want to save some money then go with catless pipes. Personally I think that having high flow cats is also less raspy which was another reason why I opted for them on my car.

Sounds awesome. I have a very similar setup with Stainless Power LT's and the Solo Mach XL.
It sounds really loud when you want it and quiet when you don't.
