Roll cage options
So, I searched and didn't find anything recent on here. Aside from rpm (which is only a 6 point bar) who makes roll cages for the fifth gen verts? I don't care about removeable ones, I know I'll never take it out anyhow lol. Weld in is fine. Just looking for pics of dash bar routing and what's out there for kits and how they fit.
I'd consider the rpm 6 point but regional nhra tech inspector told me they're only good to 11.00 in the convertible and I'm really hoping to dip into the 10's at some point in the next couple seasons so debating just going all out now on the full cage. So, thoughts, opinions? |

I would think your best bet is to go to a chassis shop and have 1 done. Any cage kits I have ever seen fit poorly. Can't put a price tag on safety.

I have a certified 10 point cage good for 8.50 - you need to gut the interior and put it back after the cage is installed and paint work is done. The bar across the dash is underneath (inside) the dash - the overhead bars come out through the top of the dash pad and hug the windshield pillar support posts. Very expensive and a lot of work.
Had to get rid of the rear view mirror, visors, side vents, and all airbags, as all were useless once the cage was installed. My Camaro is pretty much race only - very limited street use. |
