Talking Catch Can

Hi...Peeps
So may I get some insight as to what seems to be the best Catch Can for 2010 SS? Been looking for days and just keep hitting dead ends..So much info, so I thought I would ask and see what I get.

Is there really any option other than Elite Engineering, simply the best.

I have to agree.

I installed the Elite E2X system on December 15, 2017. I had 12,587 miles on the clock at the time of the change. Just completed a routine oil change on January 11, 2018 with 13,463 miles on the car. With only 900 miles since the install I didn't find a great deal of waste draining out but there was a small amount that drained into a white cup. OMG... after seeing what came out I was surely thrilled I installed the Elite E2X system.

I am not sure if it's my imagination or not but another thing I am seeing since the install. Before it seemed every few hundred miles I would have to take a little steel wool to the tale pipe because of black soot like deposit? Since install nothing.

If your like me spending $325.00 for the E2X kit is hard to swallow. I started looking when I had just a few thousand miles on my car, researched every different setup I could find, kept coming back to the Elite series. Finally bit the bullet and spent the money.

Once I had the kit in hand I knew right off I did not make a mistake, the quality was 2nd to none. A good friend has a Shelby GT500 that he installed two catch can systems, one for each bank. Anyways, he saw the Elite system and could not believe the quality, size and overall performance. Looks like he is ordering a new kit for his Shelby, this time an Elite.

Good luck on your decision.

Larry

I have the Elite can too. Very easy to empty and looks great under the hood.

Personally, I'm not convinced a catch can is necessary, but many folks love them. Best of luck!

The debate will go on, but for those of us who use them, and see the amount of oil they contain, it's enough to keep using them. Personally, while I can be a bit spend thrift on some items, I went cheap (relatively) on that. Bought mine through Phastek. Good quality, works well, just had to fab up my own bracket. Saved about $100 over the EE or MM CC.

i have the mishimoto catch can on my 15 SS. very well made and mouting was too easy. easy access to empty as well. not the high price tag as elite catch can. nothing against them. just went with something else.

I also went with the Elite Engr. catch can. I painted it to match the color of my car.
