MSD Intake.

Is it necessary to add a 102mm throttle body when installing the MSD intake manifold? Does anyone know the difference in HP with or without the throttle body?

No, it is not necessary. Recommended, sure can be. We have Z/28 and Z06 customers using ported stock TBs, with ported and even unmodified MSDs/FASTs. 540 to 600+whp cars.

Expect 3-10hp. Its not a modification for horsepower gains really, do it for the response. At the cost, the TB can have the least return for gains anywhere in the power band but is still worthwhile if expectations are understood.

Did you buy one of these? I’m thinking to get one too, and I get special pricing as MSD license dealer
