The RS Package should differ between LT vs SS

I really don't like it how LT cars can be dressed up with the RS and look almost indistinguishable from the SS/RS. The SS should be the only car with the 20" tires - the LT/RS should have 19" "Midnight Silver" rims. A V6 shouldn't be driving on 20" rims - why would it need them? Furthermore the LT/RS should have a different spoiler, and the HIDS shouldn't have Halos. All these would make the V6 clearly different from the V8 on all sides.

Sorry but I'm not a Communist. The guy paying the higher price should have more rights because he earned that right through working hard for that money. I don't like how GM makes it so easy for someone to cheap out and still get the same look. I suppose the LT/RS folks here will disagree with me but that's because you have that car - if you had the SS/RS you would agree with me. A V8 should look meaner - that's why you get it. It shouldn't look the same!!

The red SS and V8 sound will denote to the 26% of people who will care that it is an SS instead of an LT.

Yes, 26%. I've done the math.

there is differences on the front lip fascia, the mail slot, and the badges that say "SS", your distinguishment is in the gas pedal so be happy. people also worked hard to buy there 2lt or even ls, and everyone on here is a camaro enthusiast, the car is gorgeous they are allowed to enjoy, its a an american "camaro" not a ferrari, gonna be a lot on the road because its popular.

Don't forget the front bumper...

And I don't see any reason why LT buyers shouldn't be allowed to have nice accessories. They work hard for their money too, and not everyone can afford an SS, regardless of how hard they work. The V6 deserves some respect too man. If people really want to "cheap out" then they can get LS, which comes with well, absolutely nothing. Perhaps instead of denying LT buyers accessories, SS buyers could get a fruit basket, or even a fresh-baked cookie with their purchase, just in case they feel violated by the LT.

At least the LT buyers get the option of the C&C package. Us 1SS buyers can't get it

It still doesn't make sense to me that the V6 can be made to look like the V8. I know the differences already, you don't need to tell me.

The problem with the red RS badge is that it looks like the red SS badge. I have to look carefully at pictures because it's hard to tell the RS from the SS unless the picture is up close.

And I think the Ferrari comparison is not valid. The Camaro is a sports car for the middle class - but even within the middle class there should be variation whose household incomes span from $40k to $200k. There is a reason why these muscle cars have a bazillion mods you can do on them: because people want their common middle class sports car to look/sound different from the mass of others. It makes sense for the V8 to be very different looking to the V6 - I ask you seriously: why WOULD you want the V8 to look like the V6? Honestly the only ones who want that are people who can't afford the V8. And I'm not saying that to be snooty, it's the way the world should work. If there isn't "nicer" stuff to aspire to, then we'd all be Marxists.

Think about why so many people are excited about the possibility of a Z28 - because it looks different and is therefore more special. What's wrong with the SS looking more special than the V6 I ask?

You sound like such an.. well I wont go there. Oh and if you know much about Camaros you should be able to tell the difference between an SS and LT/RS not just from badges, they have a cool mail slot on the SS on the front so you can be a mobile mail box.

People arnt excited about a Z28 just for looks.. fyi.

If you get the SS you pay less for the RS package. Does that work?
