I just recieved this from my dealer yesterday...Just curious. Mine was shipped last week so I'm good. I just thought it was unusal not to have seen it here first....

Dealer still has allocations..just putting his V8's on hold.

it was good timing. we got lucky and got our white for stock, zieglers sliver, sliver wheel ,orange leather going to his house in arizona and your yellow one before the v8s went on restriction last week. they want to push some 6 cyls.

this is the first im hearing of this..i still thought it was any LT with an RS.

V-8's are not on restraint.. Have 4 orders in system that will be picked up Tuesday by GM.

Only thing on Restraint is LT/RS

Carguy,
The New Car Sales Manager at my dealer, Bowman Chevrolet (Clarkston Mi), pulled-up his computer screen in front of me last week. It showed, among other things, that the Lt/RS is on restraint and that the SS production is being restricted [I'm sorry but I don't remember the exact term Chevrolet used]. I believe they want to slow down V-8 production because of concerns over corporate gas mileage figures.

My SS is sitting on the line today and is scheduled to be completed by Monday.

I can't explain why others "in the know" say differently, but I clearly saw the screen.

The SS is on constraint due to lack of Bimbos.

D_E - Don't buy into all this... when I ordered my car (May), every week there was a new scare and crisis on here making me feel like I'd never see this car. Well, I should have just listened to my wife when she said not to read all this crap and that the car would be here soon. I got it in 10 weeks. Through the bankruptcy, the output shaft hold, through the QC scare...

You will get it. Even if it does take a few extra weeks, its worth it!

Pretty soon what will be happening is dealers will be discouraging buyers from ordering so they can sell their lot stock. That may be happening in some areas already. And don't expect them to always be honest with you about why they prefer not to order your car but will be happy to sell you one from the lot.
