Thats cool, i guess i was just worried the nt05s were too much for the factory driveline, but hey if im drag racing im taking the chance anyhow, lol thanks Ill probably go nt05r then.

I'd go with 05rs. MTs & Hoosiers always worked well for me street/track. Looking into some MTs right now through Craigslist

With exhaust, air box, under drive, tune I ran 20" 555Rs. I went 12.3@112 with a 1.85 short time. I added in a CD 3200 converter, and could not hook anymore. I'd try to leave softer but then the car would not run optimal times.
I picked up a used pair of 18" NT05R 305/45/18 from a buddy, and went 12.06@113. I then added 3.91 gears and went 11.84@114. I then later added heads and cam, and more converter, CD 3800, and had trouble hooking but I could by taking a little bite out of the launch go 11.1's and 1.51-1.53. But I was leaving softer than optimal. Cliff notes 555Rs I would not bother.

Leave the Nittos... Go with Mickey Thompson ET STREET R for a track tire.
Ive tried them all. I run Nittos on my stock rim for street, never at track.

Will NT05rs fit on a stock 18" LT wheel?
