Lowering Spring Question
Hello! I was hoping some of you who are more knowledgeable in the suspension area could help me with something. I plan on buying z28 reps for my car which will be 20x10 23mm up front and 20x11 43mm in the rear. I plan on running a 275/40/20 tire in the front and a 315/35/20 in the rear.
A buddy of mine offered me a great deal on a set of BMR 1.4" lowering springs for the front and back. I would like to buy these from him but am not completely sure it will work with my future tire/wheel setup. Could someone who knows more chime in? I did a few searches but couldn't find an answer that pertained specifically to my information, sorry if I missed it if this has already been covered. Thanks a bunch!

I’d do a 285/35/20 & 315/30/20

I know for sure 5th Gens ZL1s run 315s on a 1.4 drop...I mean if the tub is the same and not different I don't see a reason why it should be a issue.

If you go lower than 1" drop you do run risk of rubbing on large bumps. My friend has 1.25" lowering springs and is running 315 rears and does occasionally hear the tires rub slightly when he hits a large bump. Based off of recommendations from a wheel distributor I went with the 1" only because like you I plan on going with 315 rears eventually.

I had BMR 1.25' in the rear and BMR 1.4 in the front with the Z28 reps, that set up looked better than any other camaro I've seen (just my opinion though)
