ok guys I am sure this question has been beaten to death but i have a 2011 camaro ss 6.2l L99 in it. I currently have kooks LT headers, corsa catless exhaust, CAI, and its tuned. I want to put a cam in it but I am pretty lost when it comes to these. I want a cam that gives me enough hp to justify buying it but its my daily driver so i dont want to go so big that i have to put a stall converter on it or when driving at low speeds it starts bucking on me. so how what size and what brand cam should i go with for my daily driver? also what all parts would i need and whats the best kit out there. THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!!

Texas-Speed VVT 1.2 if you’re doing the dod/afm delete. They make an AFM cam but the gains aren’t as good

Guess it all depends on what you consider "justifiable" gains. I have done big and small. I learned it was (for me) better to stay small and hunt the best tq curve. Where it starts, where it ends and how flat.
Do some reading....you'll find big cam posts by the thousands...but look for the few that have stuck with the smaller ones. Good luck.

Look for my build thread as I will be updating it throughout the weekend. I have a 2015 L99 1SS and elected to go with the GPI VVT SS1 cam kit - as I wanted to daily drive and not worry about longevity. I will be posting before Vids, during pictures, and hopefully after videos so long as we dont mess anything up. My recommendation though would be to go with GPI and do the SS1 if you want stock torque convertor or SS2 if youre buying a stall. Aaron, Dan, and Ryan at GPI have been fantastic so 2 thumbs up from me so far.

If not going with an aftermarket converter, Gpi SS1. If you are, then Gpi SS3.

so I waited and hoped the obvious would be asked...who tuned the car? are you going to use the same tuner? what does your tuner say? lulz...once this has been worked out and your budget determined(you do have a budget right?) lol...anyway you can then decide if an off the shelf vs custom grind will suite your needs...then it's just a matter of price matchin out the rest of the kit..
now I use and will always use dynoSteve at RDP for my remote tunes(don't need no stinkin dyno...lulz..prefer real word 1/4 times) and they also sell parts to C5 peeps at a discount..free s/h etc... so do your self a favor and give them a holler...https://www.rdpstore.com/ l8tr FYI - just so it come as no surprise..your L99 is gonna cost more to cam esp if you decide to VVT delete....just sayin....good luck! lulz go delete so you can pull and have the heads ported...wahoo!
