What's going on Mid-Atlantic, I know it's kind of early but I was trying to get a feel who might want to support a rally in Washington D.C. on 6/19/2010. It's to support Pancreatic Cancer, a deadly decease that many people do not know about. It took out Patrick Swayze at age 57 this year.

I missed the Cici Pizza Rally because I was in Baltimore for a conference about the cancer. I talked to the CEO and she said they would love to have as many folks as possible. I think having those 2010 Camaro's out there would make a difference. I'm sure many of us have known, loved and lost someone to Pancreatic Cancer, it's very quick.

I did meet some survivors, and most of the doctors that spoke said, if it's caught early there's a good chance you can bet it. I will keep you informed as the date get's closer.

SicSix6, I could use your support if you available to help gather the folks together. Thanks for your support.

DC would be a good place..... but that traffic can be a mad house especially with a big turn out. Hmmm Im trying to think of a good spot to meet up at... we got time and I am game for supporting a good cause

I'm in. I know someone now who has it and knew someone who died from pancreatic cancer.

I work next to Union Station in DC and not keen on taking my car down there on the weekends with all the traffic. We'd need a controlled area just to get parking space.

I would come, but I will be down in Spartanburg, South Carolina for a Navy Reunion until June 20, 2009. This will be the thrid year that I have gone. I am not going to drive my Camaro through the parade that they have on the Saturday morning, I will have it in one of their car shows that goes on in the town that has the reunion for Navy Veterans that served on 2 ships with the same name.
I will be drving home Sunday morning, I may get home about 3 pm or so.
I like to be there personally, I have battled Hodgkin Lymphoma for 4 years, the last CT scan, no activity of cancer!!!

I'm in. Just need a time / place to meet. Agree, need to be there early for parking. If this is being sponsered, they should be able to set up parking if there is a set # of cars that you know are coming.

Thanks guys for the feed back and support. Were thinking the same. I agree, I don't want my 2010 to get damaged at all. I think if we get down there early we can beat the regular traffic.

As things get closer, I will talk to the folk in charge and let them know we need a controlled area for parking. I will do a recon and let you guys know. I was even thinking, maybe we can get an escort to the rally point. Also roping off the area where the cars will be.

Is that to much? I think I can come up with some crime scene tape also.

Hoping to have a great turn-out.
