My camaro driver seat is jammed!

Hello everyone, my seat is stuck. I moved my seat back to chill like a villain. When I tried moving it back in to the position I had it. It wasn't working. The only thing it does is move back. Now it's stuck all the way back. What to do. Any advise? Help!!!!

wow, crazy. How far to a local repair shop? Open on Saturday? Go really early in the morning if not too far to avoid traffic, sit in the parking lot till they open...

lol, I've got nothing... good luck man. Maybe disconnect the battery, or check the wiring underneath.

I disconnect the wiring underneath the seat, no luck. Quick question though. If I disconnect my car battery while it reset the computer? I need to check the fuses that's underneath the seat as well. Repair shop is like 1 minute away.

Disconnecting the battery shouldn't mess with your computer. But some things do reset. Worth a shot. That repair shop may be your best bet though if everything looks normal. Could have a busted the motor or something touched and shorted when you moved the seat back.

This is why I prefer to chill like an old lady. Less stressing about GM's failures.

Besides, my seat already adjusts a bit wonky. Its not a steady adjustment, like you can feel the motor is struggling.

The struggle is real.

Maybe try tapping on the motors while holding the switch in the forward position?

There’s an old Mc D’s bag and half eaten cheeseburger wrapped around the lead screw!

There is a recall for the Seat Height adjuster. If that wasn't fixed possibly the nut or bolt is jamming it if it broke off.

I checked the fuses and the problem isn't there. I checked all the motors that controls the seat postion. They all seem to be working except the reclining that's located behind the seat. It moves all the way back but foward, nope. I checked if the wire had current and it does. Do you guys think the problem is the switch or the motor that needs to be replaced. Any advise on how to remove the plastic part besides the seat to check the switch box.

I had that problem one time on the passenger side. Found a pen lodged in the middle of the track/rail which prevented the seat from moving. Got a screw driver and pushed it out. Problem solved.

If you are certain nothing is jammed my guess would be switch.
You might be able to depin the connector at the motor and reverse them temporarily. I'm betting then when you push the seat back switch it will move forward. Don't move it too far forward then unplug it and it's now non moveable until you fix the switch later.
BTW I don't know anything about camaro motor wireing and e.g. if it's grounded somehow an it won't blow a fuse or burn down your car. Proceed at your own risk and or use a multimeter and wiring schematic to figure it out.
