RPI dash trim, carbon fiber & white... opinions please - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Seen these guys advertising on here... had a special on the dash trim... so I ordered one. (I know, I should have saved my money on parts that make power). Told 3-4 weeks. Not a problem since it was February. Showed up 8 weeks later. This is what it looked like...

I called and complained. The film has holes and was not clear coated. It looks nothing like the photos on the website, or the ones they have posted on the forum. They apologized and said to send it back and they would redo it.

I recieved it today, about 2 weeks turn around. It was clear coated this time, but I think that's all they did. The holes in the film are in the same spots... they told me they were going to repaint, hydrodip and clear it.

Am I being too picky? I've purchased dipped parts from a local place years ago, and they were perfect...

You got hosed my man......DEMAND an acceptable product or money returned.

This is very unprofessional customer service. Ask them if they are OK with you coming by and poking holes in their cars dashboard. After they say no, ask why you should settle for holes in yours.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I gave them a chance to make it right, and they sent me the sameshit. I think I'll ask for a refund...

Yeah, emailed them today asking for a shipping label and refund. I'm really surprised they would send it to me like that...TWICE!!! I will never buy one of there products again...

They didn't advertise that as real Carbon Fiber I hope. Isn't that that film transfer stuff? No substitute for the real thing sorry.

No its film...I have bought hydrodipped parts in the past, from another vendor. They looked much better than this junk...

Holes in the film when they dip it... maybe from going too fast.. or poor quality film...or bad prep...???

Yup... I was thinking the same thing.

I told them i was not satisfied with the second part... they said they are sending me a return shipping label and will refund me

when they receive it. No explanation... or excuses... or attempt to make it right. Almost like this happens often...???
