how long do you leave the battery cable off to reset the ecm

This stabilitrak crap is killing me I was wondering how long do you leave the battery disconnected for the computer to reset?

Probably for only 2 minutes to erase the volitile memory but to be safe 15 minutes. You don't have to disconnect the battery. In the fuse box that is located in the engine compartment, you will find 2 fuses for the ECM. Just pull those two fuses and you will not loose your clock and radio Presets. I think they are red top fuses (10 amp)

Why do you need to reset the computer?

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

my stabilitrak light wont go out so I was thinking I could reset it. my friend unplugged the reverse selnoid, thought it was the one for the skip shift but not. Now I have the stablitrak lights on saying needs service. if anyone has a better solution other than the dealer it would be great.

disconnect the battery cables and hold the + and - ends together for 5 seconds and your good to go immediately.
