2nd that motion. I've used Xpel film bought in rolls, it is cheaper than precut; made templates and cut the film to match. Crystal clear and no yellowing. Easy to apply.

not that you have yellow paint or anything! lol
on mine, there are small pieces of clear film, like thick stickers really, that are on the sharper edges along bottom of the doors. presumably factory as they are on there pretty good! But inside the trunk, where the lid contacts the poppers, are some more thick, clear pieces that are not holding up at all. do I even need those or should I replace with pieces like stated above? |

Unless, you're talking about the rubber trunk stops above the tail lights. They're not poppers, they just control were the trunk lid stops when closed. |

lol that's true where it's yellow, the area I was hoping to protect is where the door sill edge is,I have a tendency to scuff the edge as I exit the car.You say yours came from the factory with those small pieces of clear film covering that area I mentioned.I like to see what you are referring to ,any chances of a photo of yours of that area,I would like to pick some up from the dealer if it saves the door sill edge.
Thanks Quote:

Yeah, the black rubber things are the adjustable deck lid stops. They rest on the clear plastic stickers when the trunk lid is closed. They help to reduce damage of the painted surfaces that touch the rubber stops when the trunk lid is closed.
