RS Hood-up picture

Well, not the best thread in the world, but I wanted to isolate this, as I have not seen a "hood-up" shot of the V6 RS. Here ya go:

Yup. Interesting placement for the AI box. And those shock-towers are BIG. Dang.

Why hidding the engine under this plastic thing?

That is cool! I can't wait to see under the SS hood and see how much room we have to work. The forth gen engine bay was so tight you couldn't work on anything without removing everything above it.

I know there is an intake cover but it looks tight. I’m starting to wonder how tight the V8 is going to look…

Because it's gorgeous. The average consumer doesn't want to see ugly wires and block, they want it nice and pretty. Hell as a gearhead that likes the occasional car show I can assure you that they have done right by the majority's opinion.

The size difference for the 3.6L V6 and the 6.2L V8 is very minimal actually. I know if you take the in-line 6 from the trailblazer and put it up next to the LS3 from the vette, the in-line 6 dwarfs the small block...

That doesn't surprise me, thats fords problem, beacause they use overhead cams they don't have room for a decent sized motor.

I definitely prefer the look of the cover.

Is that what was listed would be an option in different colors? If so, I may have to add it to my want list. In silver.

Any idea what it would cost? Not too much I'd assume.

That intake tube is smooth and unrestricted.
