I could be wrong, but it looks like the collectors are cast iron. Two different type of metals might not last too long if they are.

with almost no significant power gain from shorty headers, Id just do long tubes. The same effort and a lot more results

Never heard of the brand. Do long tubes if you can. Long tubes realistically will get you 25 hp, a tune another 12-15 . I and several other friends and people on here have gotten 17-20 hp with shorties and hiflow cats and another 12 with tune. My hiflows made 15-16 hp, the shorties were only good for 4-5, same with the other folks. Numbers on a dynopak dyno and on JDP ‘s dyno and dune as a power test to see what hiflow cats really did power wise.

On power I noticed opposite. We tested the hiflows, they peaked at 15 at 5650 and fell of to only a 4 hp gain at 6300. The shorties made 5 at 5600, but 12 at 6300. Made sense as shorties known for higher rpm gains, lt’s great everywhere as they scavenge way better. Last edited by VR Baron; 07-04-2018 at 09:56 AM. |

I ordered clamps from blackhorse to use with my SE header setup and they have been working fine. Much better than what came with my headers.

Wrong there old buddy Ron. Longer tubes make tq lower. Shorter tubes make tq higher.

But what was interesting was that With a stage three cam, I thought the Lt’s would’ve been more noticeable on the top end in his car. Interesting. |
