Anyone remove mufflers & resonators on LS3?
Anyone removed their resonators along with the mufflers on an LS3? If so, does it still sound okay? Is it too loud? Any sound clips by chance?
I'm thinking about doing a muffler delete along with an x-pipe and I'm not sure if I should leave or remove the resonators?

I don't have a sound clip, but I did a muffler delete with a magnaflow "X" pipe installed before I spent thousands of dollars on a cat-back system for a sound I may or may not like. The total cost for everything was $140.00 and the sound is awesome. I have been told by a buddy of mine that works at Chevrolet that the LS-3 comes with high flow cats from the factory. Do the muffler delete and have them take out the "H" pipe and add the "X" pipe, you won't be disappointed. Let me know what you decide.

So you didn't remove the resonators? I'm wondering if I should spend another $200 and add SLP LM II mufflers to the setup? My concern on that is that the stock system is T-409 and the mufflers are T-304. Not sure the different metals will work together. I've always used Flowmasters in the past but I'm not liking the looks of the square muffler on the Camaro over the round ones like SLP has. Plus...I like the sound of the LM II setup. I'll talk a little with the guy I was recommended to but I could probably go without the mufflers first and worst case add them later.

my exhaust guy charged $80 for muffler delete only. sounds much better, but a bit loud for the wifes taste.
and the deceleration pop is redneckish...... i'm gonna throw long tube headers and complete Corsa on it. mainly for HP and future bolt ons.
