New V6 vid w/ exhaust note
Jalopnik's got it and says their sources are calling this a V8 dressed up as an RS...

I'm calling
 . I think its the V6, and we can just be happy about the exhaust note. Didn't they say that the V8 had bigger exhaust tips than the V6? Those look like the other V6 tips. It could be the V8 - I'd be even happier if it was the V6.- Xanthos

Well if they were trying to dress it up as one of the other RS' they'd prolly change the exhaust tips too.
I dunno, just repeating what Jalopnik is reporting.

Understood. I'm not calling BS on you - I'm calling it on their "sources." Who knows who their sources are? The guy holding the camera and his "expert" opinion? Until I hear official word, its a camaro body with some engine or another inside it.

yeah im saying thats the v6.....
Just think, why would they dress up the V8 as a V6, what does that say about them? "hey lets dress up this V6 as a V8 and make everyone think the V6 sounds that good?" They would pretty much be saying the V6 is a pile we just like the way it looks.

Or they just didn't have enough V6's for all the reveals ready but they did have a V8 so they went with that instead. I dunno, but Jalopnik doesn't usually post things unless they're fairly sure its accurate.
Frankly, if it is a V6 that is one hell of a sound and I might just have to go with it instead of the V8.

Have you seen the numerous videos posted of the the V6 sounds in the Cadillac? I'll try and scrounge up the best one... theres a 0-100 video around here somewhere...

A couple more "listens" and I'm 100% sure that is a V8. They never said here is a V6 car, do you like how it sounds? These aren't production intent cars, they can do whatever they want with them.
Just like SS said before, most of the pics we've seen prior to the reveal have both V6 and V8 components or something along those lines. There is no reason they couldn't continue down that path. |

Got it! Cadillac CTS DI V6, AWD 0-100 - right here.
@ Chevydude - I know I'll be buying the v6 but trading someone for the v8 bumper. I'm sure there are others who will want to do the same. I'll certainly post on these forums when I get my camaro (going to wait about 6 months after release for the hype to die down and so I can save up a bit more money) looking for somebody to trade bumpers with. - Xanthos
