A shout out of thanks to Camaro5 and User Cale913. When I registered the Z28 on the Camaro5 registry, I was not the original owner as Cale913 originally purchased the car and registered it on the site.

Recently I had read that there was a "certificate of authenticity" for the car that went to the original owner. I pm'd Cale to inquire if he had the certificate and if he could take a picture of it for me. Sure enough, he emailed me back and did one much better. He mailed me the original certificate - which arrived today.

Thanks to Camaro5's registry that made it possible and for Cale's generous gift of the certificate too.

For those that are not the original owner; this registry might help for contacting the original owner about the certificate.

One if the reasons I love our group here! I called the original owner after finding a discount tire receipt in the glove box. He found and mailed me the COA and the window sticker! We have a close knit group here which is very good for all involved!

Marcus when you put together the production numbers - what was the last build date of the z/28?

I spoke to the orig owner of my car. He stated, as most, that he never received this COA. I AM STILL HOUNDING CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE to get one! Very frustrating, but like Kavanaugh, I'm not giving up!

Think the folks who bought their's early in the game received COA's pretty much automatically( i did) but if the car had sat in inventory for months/years not so much.

Customer service is joke...

I reached out the original dealer of my car to order a window sticker (which they only they can submit for, no other dealer). Dealer refused.

I reached out to customer service, they said to go buy a recreation one from somewhere online $50+ and another $50 + if you don't have the Invoice to create it.

I don't have one. Has anyone reached out to Chevrolet social media? I contacted them for a copy of my build sheet and they were super fast and efficient at getting it for me, with excellent customer service including a follow-up contact a few days later to check I was still happy with my build sheet!!

might be worth a go for CoA too...?

Same here, no COA when I purchased the car. I am original owner and tried Chevy Customer Service to get a COA. It was like speaking to someone in a coma, got nowhere.

I bought mine new in 2016 - did not get one from Chevrolet - Dealer inquired and was told they were no longer sending them out and had not since sometime in 2015. they said it was a limited time offer which was not longer active.

So likely only got one if you bought a car in 2014 or in 2015.

Jon I wonder if ours were the same dealer.....sounds just like the story I got trying to get my window sticker, even tried to just get them to give me original owners name but with the privacy laws that was a no go as well....After serval hours and phone calls trying to track this down I finally gave up and this was well before the 4 year mark of getting GM to make a reprint from a request from the original selling dealer.

Those who have got theres and are not the first owner you are lucky.
