2013 camaro ss l99 going forced induction
Right now I have a few bolt ones. Texas speed LT headers, tsp vvt 2.2 cam shaft, Holley efi sniper intake manifold, a nick Williams 102mm throttle body, and a CIA. I also have a 3200 stall converter. Over the winter I plan on upgrading the rear control arms, upgrading the rear differential, adding 4.10 gears and also porting my stock heads. I'm thinking about also getting some type of forced induction. I was thinking about adding a procharger? I would like to not have to do very many supporting mods right away. I'm not looking to run very much boost right away maybe just start with putting 600 or 650 down first. Any input for upgrades absolutely needed or better ideas then a procharger??

Honestly, i would skip the 4.10s and porting the stock heads and just throw a TT on there...

4.10s are overkill on FI. 3.45s or 3.27s are perfect for FI...
I had 3.91s and switched to 3.45s... -Don

with all the N/A mods you've made and want to make, why not just go E85 and push that? there is a 500HP N/A camaro around here, hes looking at going e85 now.

Would e85 really help all that much?? I was told on a N/A build e85 wouldn't do much??

Personally, I would go ECS instead of Pro Charger. You will easily hit the low to mid 600's with what you are planning. But like others said, skip the gears. I would invest more in a new fuel system. Go to a dual pump, go 1200cc injectors and a flex fuel kit while you are doing the heads and blower. You will be set up for 800-900 if you want it.

If your looking for 600 crank hp then your stock parts "should" survive for some amount of borrowed time. If 600 wheel hp, you're going to want to look at suspension, axles, and bushings. With that power, wheel hop is going to break stuff.

Yeah I'm looking at the wheel. So I'll definitely start looking into suspension upgrades. Thank you |

I second the ECS kit, did mine on 12 SS. Did all the supporting mods first like suspension, drive shaft, rear, solid subframe bushings, duel fuel pump setup, cam, top end, ls3 conversion, and more. Lost the tranny around 650 rwhp, the 6l80e is known for a bunch of issues with cracking drums not to scare you just make sure you know whats gonna break and around when.
With the 3200 stall install throw a tranny cooler on as well save you some grief later. After some more modding and tranny rebuilt beefier I'm sitting at 810 rwhp and only getting about 6 months out of my nitto's. So definitely worth it! |

The cost and effort of porting your heads at that power level with forced induction if for sure not worth it. The next weakest link in the car is the stock 6L80 trans. forcus more $$ on upgrading that to a 6L90 out of a ZL1. I'd just TT it for now and upgrade the trans when you can, then turn it up to 800whp on high oct and let it rip.
