Schroth Quickfit Pro 4-point Harness

Anyone have any experience with these? It looks like a super slick way to get four points, and thus a hans, into our cars for a track day.

They don't technically sell one for the Camaro, but after some phone calls to them, they are going to re-visit looking at them for our cars.

After some buckle testing yesterday, it does look like mustang seat belt clips will clip into our female receptacles. Would I trust my life with it.....probably not.... but the do firmly hold.

Thanks,

My buddy and I have these and use them with Brey Krause harness bar. Belts run through the top of the seats. Lap belts "clip" on to the BK mounts. Stock seat belts remain and can be used when not wanting full harness.

If you go this route when you order then be sure you ask for the lap belts to come with quick release clips, so you can clip them on and off. They don't come that way and unless you specifically order them that way. There should be no extra charge at time of order. Sube Sports in Huntington Beach CA got our and are experts in safety equipment - they charge full retail, but you get the benefit of their knowledge - however I see they are having a 12 days of Christmas sale 10% off - so that would save you a few $.

The work good, but are not as good as full 5 pt or 6 pt harness for the track. But for stock seats they are the best option. They are also DOT legal, so you could use them on the street in lieu of your stock belts - but you likely will not as they are far more restrictive and not really conducive to street driving. Overall I would say it is a good add for stock seats and occasional track use.

Here is a thread on my car - see page 3 for information about the clips on the bottom of the lap belts and photos.

And what was the price as it had gone up to $485 when I checked this summer. Your link is still showing the old price. Who were you talking to as I thought they were based overseas.
