Who makes MIL eliminators for the 2010 camaro??

For those of you coming from mustangs, you'll know what I'm talking about. Wanting to run an O/R midpipe and don't want the PO420 and PO430 codes. Pretty sure i can retro-fit some of my old ones but if somebody is making them, it'll save me some time.

If you are looking to run off-road pipes, are you looking to run them from the stock manifolds or from long tube headers? We have had great success in offering off-road pipes, for a few different vehicles, with "O2 Chambers" which do not set codes. Let me clarify, the stock O2 sensors can be retained, no tuning or simulators required. We have tested our own off-road pipes with O2 chambers on the dyno with no codes being thrown.

I hope this helps.

And to all, Dan and Clear Image are very well know for superior quality and products in the LT1 Impala world.

P.S. Dan, when you gonna get your '10 Camaro pages up on the website?

I'm wanting to run an o/r midpipe with stock manifolds. Do you have a link to your O2 chambers and can you explain how they're effective??

WOW! Hey Mav,
I'm running into all my Impala customers over here. Did you get a 2010 Camaro already? As for pictures, I have been working in the shop a lot lately and not able to do much with the site. I'll do my best to get a Camaro page up today.

Nice hearing from you.

The "O2 Chamber" pulls the stock sensor out of the exhaust stream. The inside of the chamber restricts exhaust enough for the PCM to see the correct reading. Hence, no code with even off-road pipes. At least that has been our experience with other GM vehicles. I don't have any pictures of the off-road pipes for the Camaro with the O2 chamber. But here's a down-pipe we offer for another vehicle with an example of what I am talking about:

another way to maybe try is to buy 2-3 spark plug non foulers, drill out one end of one of the non foulers to the size of the o2 sensor, and connect them all together and install it back on the mid pipe. it moves the o2 sensor further away from the exhaust gases, mostly eliminating the CEL.

MIL eliminators have been a thing of the past on GM vehicles. With the EPA all over Caspers, and the big lawsuit that went on, they had to discontinue them, and buy back anything that was left.

I have not seen a set, save for some here and there, in years.

The last time I saw them was 14,000 of 'em I had to destroy...DOJ order.

That was a sick day.

Nobody makes them any longer. And beware, if you use the threaded extensions, you could get sucked into the same mess Caspers was in. The EPA doesn't like any form of tampering, it kind of pisssses them off and they do un-patriotic things to get their way. Ask me how I know...

Funny how that works. Yes, I already have my 2010 Camaro, and loving it! Can't wait to mod it like I did the Impala. Good luck with the website!

Let me know when you're ready. We have full length, stainless headers, converters and 3" exhaust now. You know I'll take care of you.

Wow! I couldn't even imagine having to destroy so many of my own products. I was sick having to discard 150 bad flanges one time, let alone 14,000 of something. What a bunch of BS. I guess "Big Brother Is Watching" wasn't just hypothetical after-all...

The reason MIL eliminators are more scarce is because they dont work on newer cars. You cant simply wire resistors line with the PCM to fool it into thinking that the cats are functioning properly anymore. With the advanced bus style communications that our Camaros have, it renders MIL eliminators completely useless.

I have long tubes and high flow cats and im throwing cat codes for low efficiency cats on banks 1 and 2. The only way to fix it is a tune.

And here's the other way to prevent the code, without a tune:

What is it that prevents the codes Dan? I'm interested. Or is it a secret?
