Idle RPM?

I'm looking to do some bracket racing this summer with my (most major bolt ons) automatic camaro. (1st time thing for me and a bucket list thing for me) I can't afford a stall converter after putting on other bolts ons. My questions is: Would it be beneficial for me to have my custom tune from Jannetty Racing have the idle rpms maybe raised to 700rpms for a better launch? It looks like from what I can see, the stock idle is 550rpms. Has anyone ever done this? I'm trying to keep everything the same on the launch. I think that if I went to the line and revved up to a certain rpm that I might not be consistent each time at the line.

I'd suggest to leave the idle stock or maybe up to 600RPM at the most, when you want to do some bracket racing, load up the converter to about 800-1000RPM.Think most do a better 60 ft that way with a stock converter. It loads up the drivetrain just a bit to reduce shock load and when you to WOT,it lets the stock converter flash just a bit higher for a better 60 ft. Just leave at the same RPM to be as consistence as possible.
