Chrome gas cap cover???

Ok so since the cut of AMB I changed my order to SIM. I was thinking of adding the chrome gas cap cover but am not sure how it would look on there. Would it look kind of cheezy? Better with or without?

Well... this is not what you asked... but I saw the Nickel finish cover (that you can order with the car) in person & I hated it... much nicer in the pics ...

Personally I don't like it sticking out.... prefer body color... thought about getting the locking cover in raw form & painting it to match but was afraid it would still look different

So, My official opinion is without

Morano Racing makes some trim pieces that still allow the gas cap door paint color to show through. I think that they are less drastic than the factory part. They are under the "Exterior Parts and Accessories" heading, under "Gas Tank Door Bling".

I like two of them, but the "Flame" one screams "Pimp My Ride".

I have the OE one, and it does indeed look a lot better in pictures.

Here's the defenderworx Brushed Aluminum Fuel Door on my SIM - I actually think it looks better in-person.

I know this comment will sort of give away my age, but the gas cap cover reminds me of what one member of my van club did to his. It looked good, indiscreetly painted very stylishly, in script on the cover... GASSHOLE

Thanks for checking us out!

For those of you who do not want to replace the entire fuel door we sell billet alumium cover that look really nice and attach easily over the fuel door. Available in Supersport, Flames and other logos.

I never saw the point in drawing attention to your gas cover. But if I were going to get one, I think the brushed finish looks better.

Was this easy to install? Any words of warning or suggestions? I was thinking about ordering one before my car gets here. I was looking at the chrome one.

yeah, went w/ the brushed satin. Brush strokes look cheesy @ 1st, but blended in w/ the SIM color and actually looks better. It may not look good on other colors, though...
