Exterior Upgrades

Did this my car...

- Clear Matte Wrap, protect from rocks and mattes the car.
- Black door handles
- Black turn signals and reflectors
- Removed Chrome ZL1 badges
- Tow Hook, not sure I'll keep this but for now I'm rock'n it.
- Rocker Stripes
- Red Accent on Front Lip, Rear Diffuser, Rockers
- "C A M A R O" lettering on the front fender to fill the void

Tell me what you think, criticism is welcome.
Please forgive the crappy night photos.

Some of you may recall I did some photoshop mocks here. You can see how close I got.

Or how about where I tried to 3d print my own badge here haha -- I still haven't given up, but I'm having some trouble getting the thinly printed backing to not curl up on the printer. Work in progress.

UPDATE 03/29/19

Thanks all for the honest feedback.

The general consensus is that it is too busy.
The polls are mostly "dislike" but otherwise an even split for neutral and up.

I do think it looks way better in person than it does in the photos, but I don't want to make excuses.

From day one I'd felt the car was too bare from the side view, that it needed details.
The front and rear are so aggressive with all that aero and blacked out hood, the side is so bare in comparison.

So I can see why you guys think its too busy, I guess I like it busy.
I'm definitely going to keep it, I honestly feel like it looks awesome in person.

Here's another crappy photo

I don't think it looks bad per se, just seems very busy, an over-the-top panda theme. I think if you lost the black on the sharkfin, handles, and side stripes it would look a lot better. The "Camaro" badge doesn't really flow IMO either. Hopefully, that was constructive... If you like it, that's all that really matters.

+1 on too busy.

Black or redline is fine, but not both.

Have to agree with others, seems too busy. But, you have given me an idea about something I have been thinking about. That lower door accent, I was thinking of doing the same size and configuration in American flag, just not sure. Anybody here that can do a photoshop?
As always, looks is subjective to the owner and if you like it, that's all that matters.

I don’t think I’d lose the ZL1 badges... To me that’s the special frosting on the cake. Really like the door handles. Where did you get those?

I luv ya man but I’m a no. Sometimes less is more and the 1LE doesn’t need anything but someone in the drivers seat rowing the gears.

Im in agreement, this car does not need the stripes ect. I too have my black ZLE completely wrapped in Xpel but I chose gloss except for the flat hood which I used stealth on. I like the contrast of gloss and matte. but to each their own .

I think the rocker stripe is what's making it look busy. If it were my car, I'd ditch the rocker stripe, the Camaro fender emblems, and the red accents. Keep it a white and black color scheme. The black door handle, reflectors, side-mirror, and rocker do a good job by themselves breaking up all the white.

I have to eat some of my own words. I think the ZL1 would look best with a OEM type of dovetail rear spoiler with an optional wicker bill for street driving. The wing could be installed when tracking if it’s a 1LE.

Agree with DANACO, I also removed my ZL1 badges from the hood bulge. Looks way cleaner without them. But I left the ZL1 badges on the grill and rear bumper.

Still thinking of having my rear spoiler wrapped in black to match the hood bulge. But, that is all I will do cosmetically.

I like it. Makes your car unique. It's tasteful and not over the top. The best part is that with stickers, you can change it anytime you like.

I wonder how your car would look if you took off the hood wrap, and did matte PPF on it?
