Interior differences question
Ok, so I've read through the differences in the interiors and I still have a question. I can't really tell the difference between the LS interior and the 1LT. I know what it reads but how is it different? Like the LS has LS seats and the 1LT has "sport" seats but how are they different? Pictures? Also, reading the wiki here, it says the 1LT has everything the LS has plus the DIC compass. The LS still has a DIC correct? The difference is just the compass if I understand correctly. Just looking for some verification.
Basically, I'm looking at the LS and want to know the differences. Before I get a bunch of people telling me to upgrade to the LT so I can add the RS package, I honestly don't want it. IMO the only thing really worth the cost of upgrade would be the HIDs and they really aren't that important to me. I also like the heritage wheels. So I don't really care about upgrading those either. I'm actually more drawn to the LT for the C&C package and that's mostly for the bluetooth. However, I figure I can add a parrot for a couple hundred dollars and it's not that big a deal. The car computer can do this as well but not nearly as well. The only other upgrade from the factory I'd be looking at would be the automatic transmission. For those who are interested the color combo I'm looking at is the IBM with gray interior. This is all personal preference. I know what I like and I know what I want. My only concern is that, I know all the differences. A picture of an LS interior would be awesome. |

Well the main distinguishing difference between the LS and 1LT interior would be the trim panels that wrap around the dash ans each door. On the LS it is a light grey textured plastic, while on the 1LT, it is wrapped in black fabric. Your steering wheel will also be urethane, as opposed to leather-wrapped like in the higher-end models. Same goes for your shifter (manual or automatic) and your center console armrest.
What you get by upgrading to the 1LT is the options of the C&C package, and the upgraded stereo (i think). But those of course are extra.
