So to make a long story sorta short, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with my camaro. It’s a 2015 LS. But it seems like every other day I have to hear the famous saying “should’ve gotten the SS.”
So that made me want to make my camaro as fast as possible. I reallllly wanna twin turbo my car. But I have absolutely no idea where to start. There’s no kits available for the camaro exactly, and I can’t find any leads. I’m just looking for help on how to achieve this or just where to start because I’m absolutely lost. BUT, I do NOT wanna give up on this. So, I figured this would be the best place to come and try to find some answers. Any help is greatly appreciated! ![]()

You're gonna spend upwards of 8k to have it done right. Don't know the strength of the V6 driveline components. You'll basically be right where the avg cammed SS will be. If you come across a SS with FI, you're pretty well screwed lol. Good luck and have fun! Oh, to make it cheaper, maybe try a single instead. Something like a GT35R should be sufficient I'd wager.

Check out Phasetek, it's a supercharger instead of a turbo, but they claim 435 HP, should make the 6 a real screamer. Replacing driveline components with SS parts can be relatively economical if you can do the wrenching yourself and don't mind hunting used parts down. In the end you would have a unique ride and somewhat of a sleeper to play with.

I don't know man if you really like your car, and it's your car after all, screw what every a$$hat says you should have bought. I suppose I should have bought a ZL-1 in hind sight but I didn't. If it's a daily driver doing big modding can bring problems with it. I'm not trying to tell you what you should do but don't listen to the haters & let that be a motivating factor in your decision.
While a boosted V6 would be very cool and quick that amount of money could be used to trade to an SS just a thought. |

![]() Either enjoy your car just as it is and focus on other stuff in life. Or trade for more hp. Getting a SS is the cheapest most reliable way to 400hp+ and you don't lose all that investment in resale or if someone hits your car or it's stolen and insurance won't pay out your mods. https://www.phastekperformance.com/2...ercharger2.htm $6000. The supercharger kit or turbos will cost you what a SS trade up would cost and your V6 car WON'T increase in value with expensive mods, and you'll break expensive to repair things with a big hp upgrade. If an SS isn't enough hp get a ZL1, if that's not enough mod it (I've got about $6k in mods that I'll never get a penny back if I resell or it's lost). If that's still not enough turbo that and if that's not fast enough get a supercharged Corvette. How much $$ do you want to spend and how fast do you NEED to be? I get crap mpg, insurance is high and it's not the best car to let the teen kids drive. I love the car and don't plan to ever get rid of it. ![]() Enjoy your car for what it is, or focus on getting a better house or job or other projects or education until you can afford whatever car you like. I don't like Audi's or BMWs due to repair costs but that might be where you end up. They can be quick too. In saying this I consider that the Camaro V6 isn't reliable and the $$$ engine upgrades could be lost in that manner also. |

let me ask you one question...is your foot always to the floor and are you always wishing you were going faster? if the answer is no,then your car is fine.if you gotta go faster,it might be easier to trade towards an SS.ignore the people that try to tell you what you should have bought unless they are willing to subsidize all or part of the expenditure required to put that SS in your garage.

Chris,
I don't know you but I see this is your first post on Camaro5. Let me be among the first to welcome you and please ignore the haters and jealous folks you'll run into almost on the daily. You've been given some sage advice already in this thread. There have been a few, (2 or 3) very knowledgeable folks doing the work themselves, that have tried, and they have run into huge barriers along the way... I am talking years of effort and lots of money. There was a shop or two that tried and were modestly successful at making any decent power, and I believe most of those have given up... and they weren't working with the LFX but rather the LLT if memory serves... I spent a couple of dollars doing the twin turbos on my SS, and I'm now in the market to sell it and buy a new Camaro and leave it stock--- BONE STOCK (NO modifications).... There can be, and usually are, very large headaches associated with forced induction outside of the norm, and twins, or even a single is going to create huge headaches.... If you wish to peruse some, feel free to take a gander at my build thread... There is a crap ton of them... My only mods from here forward will be gas in the back, key in the front, and drive.... I'll have a different set of wheels and tires just for long trips with a more street friendly tire than comes on the new car from the factory... LFX mod issues just to start... Fuel.... how to get enough into the cylinders. The LFX is a direct injection engine and increasing the fuel supply to match the increase in air flow is difficult. Turbo manifolds.... The cylinder head and exhaust manifold are one piece, meaning that unless there is a crap ton of space at the end of the manifold, you will be running pipe all over to try to locate and place the turbos.... They will almost assuredly have to be bottom mount, as are mine, but there wont be much if any room to install them, unless you place them near the trunk, then you lose too much heat and exhaust flow velocity, negating a majority of the purpose of the turbos... Drive line.... that can be beefed up as needed just like any other car... Ignore the buttholes you run into and enjoy knowing you have one of the faster cars on the road... Tis a deep deep rabbit hole you are pursuing trying to twin turbo your car.... Most of the folks attempting this, know where to start, do the lions share of the work themselves, and have tons of free time... These projects can and do literally take years...

Had a v6 dodge in the past right out of college and heard the comments all the time about should have bought a Hemi. The v6 was enough for me at the time and I enjoyed the car. If they wanted me to have a hemi they should have given me their money for the down payment. Enjoy what you have
