Does anyone know how you obtain a permanent number for your car when at the dragstrip so you don't have to always get a new one. I've heard once you do this you also don't have to keep filling out the card with your address and car info and emergency info. I go to Milan Dragway in MI if it's not the same everywhere. I've seen guys at Milan with the same number on their car.

Join their points class that your car will run in. This will give you the permanent number

Thanks Fred. I signed up for the points class about a month ago. First race is this Sunday. My first time, so I'm a little bit of an organized train wreck, if there's such a thing.

Lol on the jitters, just remember you are bracket racing, you are looking for consistency on every run not a personal best on every run. Keep your time slips and make notes to compare each run, learn how to cut a good light and you’ll win many races on reaction times. The main thing is to have fun and not over think yourself, if the jitters are there just pre stage and take a deep breath stage and let it eat.
