What's the best way to reduce CO2 from gasoline engines?

How can we reduce CO2 from our V8 musclecars? The EPA appears ready to crack down on "dangerous" CO2, and this may spell the end for Musclecars, Meat, Barbeques, and Jogging.

First, I love muscle cars. My first car was a 1973 Dodge Charger SE with a 440 magnum in it. And I will be picking up my SS tomorrow (woot!).

That being said, there will be a time when gas isn't plentiful. Without getting too political, I see the future of cars to be electrical with plenty of nuclear plants around to help keep them and the rest of our lives charged with energy.

I love the sound of powerful V8's, so though it saddens me to say it...but electrical cars are going to be the future. Not the Prius' of today, but cars like the Tesla are going to be the future of "muscle cars". Batteries are getting smaller & lighter, and off the line you cannot beat an electrical motor. Good for us speed freaks, but bad for those of us that still love the rumble of an engine.

What improves CO2 emissions? Will supercharging help? Smaller displacement? Lighter materials? Can we put a scrubber on the exhaust like a catalytic converter?

CO2 is not as dangerous of a green house gas as it's made out to be. The most common green house gas in the atmosphere by volume is actually water vapor. You don't hear anyone talking about reducing there water vapor emissions however

Drive less. It'll also improve our overall fuel consumption.

I couldn't agree more. The truth is finally coming out, but it will not deter the true greeners. The fight will never end.

I get so angry when listening to Al Gore and the like. These people want YOU to make sacrifices, not them. In I think it was 2006, Al Gore paid nearly 30K in electrical bills, yet he wants to tell us how to conserve our electricity. These people want to make us stop driving our V8 muscle cars, yet they think nothing of flying around in leer jets and picking up realitives from jail in a Maserati.

That's right, jogging. All you joggers out there are the cause of "global warming"! Ya'll are consuming all the oxygen and producing carbon dioxide, while I'm chillin' at home conserving our natural resources.

Got a brand new engine put in my old Chevy truck, and a rebuilt carburetor put on top. Didn't pass smog. My CO2 emissions were too high. Went back to the carb shop, had them put in larger fuel jets. Tested for smog again, CO2 was down, but my CO was raised.

So... no matter what you do, you're probably gonna produce a little less of something bad, and a little more of something else that is bad. You just gotta balance it out.

some places already charge a tax for cow farts to farmers. Get ready to pay for pooping and farting.
