Pennzoil Ultra Platinum
What's everyone's take on the new Pennzoil Ultra Platinum made from Natural Gas instead of crude oil? Better than other synthetic oils like Mobil-1, Royal Purple, Valvoline, & Castrol?

My first guess without any real basis is that it's probably not much difference in performance, probably cheaper to make.

I gave it a try (2x) in my SS a while back. The engine did not like it. I returned to Mobil1 and all was good again.

I can't find the "Ultra Platinum" anywhere in sw, PA. But the "Platinum" is all I have been using and my 6.2 engine seems to run great on it.

My engine runs it without issue.

The Pennzoil needed changed at a much shorter interval and was looking really thin and dirty. Whereas the Mobil1 held up better and ran for a longer interval and did not get so thin. I believe oil performance varies depending on its base stock. My valves made much more noise with the Pennzoil too from what i recall.
