@DaddySS I have gotten to the the bad cylinder and was able to take it off but then hesitated to proceed when I saw the hose attached to the cylinder. Since the cylinder and the hose are very hard to access I hesitated to proceed since I was not sure if I would be able to get the hose back on the new cylinder and the oil properly refilled. So I decided to bring it to a upholstery show that I found which has done that kind of work before. The shop installed the new cylinder for $150 , but now the other side is a little slower. I will have to bring it back to the shop so they can service the system .. my be to little hydraulic oil !?
Thanks for the Diagram though !! |

Just to close this thread and maybe give somebody an idea of the kind of repair that has to be done if somebody experiences the same problem " one side of the top " dragging" slower than the other one" Which could be because of different pressure in the oil lines due to air in the oil lines or in my case a bent cylinder arm of the hydraulic cylinder as here in the picture. ( Which is actually a picture of the opposite side from where the trop was dragging at first. So after that side was replaced, the cylinder on the other side was dragging and looked like this: ) [URL="https://www.dropbox.com/s/tpc5cl2pxn83c4l/IMG_08721.jpg?
