Goodbye Gen5 Friends
Well, my 2 year run is over. I had the opportunity to build my dream car, which was a Gen5 LS3 convertible with ridiculous horsepower...and I did it!
When I was a young kid in HS turning wrenches on my 390 4-speed Fairlane GT, I could only imagine a street car with 775 whp. It was just something way beyond what was possible in those days. To finally build one and then terrorize the streets was an amazing experience, and doing it with the top down really added some spice to the "kick ass" factor. I've really enjoyed this forum and having good dialogue with you all. Some folks have been Rockin' entertainment and others have helped me understand my car a little bit better. Best of luck to everyone!

Excellent job with the build brother! I am glad you achieved your goals. Are you selling the car now? Before you are gone for good, let us know what you're up to in your next chapter!

That’s it? You build your dream car, drive it awhile and push it off a cliff? Figuratively. Must’ve been all about the journey, I suppose.

yep, kind of confused of why you are saying "goodbye". Are you selling the car, or just dropping off the forum?

Car is sold, so the Gen5 journey ends.
Pepe, what's next is a hard one this time. I have to find a different motivation and I'm not clear on that, yet. We've got a 75 'vette that's been in the family since 1979 that was my dad's. That may be next, but requires a complete restore and a higher level of commitment than I'm used to. Mojo, you're right it was all about the journey and this one was special in its' own way. I've never really counted the number of toys I've owned, but usually turn them after a couple of years. So, yes, over the cliff I go. Take care!

Ok, I get it. I can understand the love of the build and if you really did get to enjoy the final product for some time then onto new endeavors. Good luck, dude!
