Estimated hp/tq

Hey all, I’ve yet to do a dyno run of my 2012 Camaro 1lt (3.6 v6). Mods I’ve done are Vittesse Throttle Controller, Spectre CAI, Muffler Delete, and have Overkill tune coming in tomorrow. What do y’all think my estimated hp/tq would be with these?

I'd give a guess but I don't know V6 stock numbers very much. However, based on your mods the gains will be minimal. Throttle controller adds 0 hp, muffler delete adds 0 hp, CAI adds minimal hp, but your biggest gain will be in the tune. Good luck and post the numbers when you're done.

Alright thank you! With my work schedule it’s hard for me to get on a dyno, is there another way of getting a fairly accurate number of my hp/tq before I do the tune tomorrow?

Stock v6 averages 256 rwhp and 225 rwtq, Slingshot I’d hope to have higher than that? The tune says anywhere from 15-30hp with 91 octane by itself.

Hold off on installing the tune, get it dynoed for a base, install the tune, then dyno it again. Or just simply go by the Google numbers you posted. Those will get you close.

As Pyro said, your gains will be minimal.

When I get home I’ll post the dyno results from wife’s 2011 1LT car with just vmax tb and IM spacer. We added a cai later but the dyno was solely to test the vmax products.

stick or auto? It will probably feel like a big gain if it's and auto and the tune adjusts the torque management (if it has it) My tune in my A8 ram didn't add much for power but it made it faster by quite a bit by getting rid of torque management. I don't know much about the auto V6 chevys

Your driving experience will feel better at first with the throttle controller and the tune if it gives you better torque management. As far as HP gains though, you'll be 15 max... with updated timing and fueling tables in the 91 octane tune.

As far as the muffler delete goes though, it's all personal preference. If you like the sound then go for it. But if you are like everyone I know in my generation, a V6 without mufflers is a horrible driving experience. You might smile the first couple of times you drive it, but it will be a matter of time before your tired of the massive amounts of drone you'll get at cruising speeds. When I bought my sons 2011 2LT, it came with aftermarket mufflers and the drone was so loud, I ended up getting some factory mufflers off a guy on this site.

Take what I say with a grain of salt... I am an old guy. But I also have a cammed LS3 with long tubes and offroad pipes with cutouts that I like to open up occaisionally!!!

2011 1LT A6. This is all stock except ported vmax Tb and IM spacer. Forget if we were running 91 or 93

Hm I do I have the newer LFX engine with the 323hp compared to the >2012 312hp not sure how much of a difference this makes. I’m new to this side of vehicles in general to be honest, but these scores seem pretty low? How does this compare to your average teenager city car and what are your 0-60/quartermile times like?

You hit it straight on. Loved my muffler delete for about two weeks but driving it every day omg I hate it now drone is like nails on s chalkboard to me now I jsut drown it out with music. The throttle controller I was very impressed with. I use sp 8 in sport mode with tc off pretty much 24/7 and makes me smile every time I punch it. Just never in the rain. I’m hoping the tune will make me happy aswell. Hp and tq gains are secondary for what I’m looking for from the turn. Primary is the rev limiter in park, changed shift points, speed govern removal, etc.
