Long story short, my original key fob buttons broke, had a new key fob programmed to car, new key stopped working 2 weeks later, decided to have the original key fob chip soldered with a new button, key locks and unlocks car fine but doesn’t disarm the alarm. Theft deterrent light has stayed on. Guessing my original key is no longer programmed to my car. Ordered a new key fob with same fcc id # and my question is if i don't have a key that is programmed to the car can a locksmith program the new key fob chip to my car and will alarm turn off? Cant take my car to the dealership because it will not turn on with the original key fob. T I A.

new key (immobilizer) must be programmed via Service Programming Systems. not sure what locksmiths in your area are capable of.
