Brake Caliper Upgrade

Man, these seem like a great deal... thought I'd share...

Anyone try them yet?

These are also the same exact Brembo Calipers structurally on the 2013+ Chevy Camaro ZL1, but half the price. The ZL1 calipers are black and say ZL1 on them. They are the exact same calipers except Silver with the V symbol on them. The ZL1 calipers cost over $1000 each, so if you are looking to replace or upgrade a regular Camaro or the SS you simply buy these calipers and get the rotors from the front ZL1 to do the upgrade to the 6 piston calipers. 19" or larger wheels are required for clearance. If you already have brembo calipers in the rear from the SS model then these will also work with your existing rear rotors. If you do not have Brembo rear calipers then you will need to change the rotors also. Same thing if you have the regular CTS. You can upgrade to these calipers. They will bolt right up. You just need the rotors from the CTS-V model

Do the swap for looks & price point only if you like or possibly hpde's as their should be some benefit but in the real world they performed no better than the 4 pot Brembos on the 13+SS 1LE. Truth be told the 1LE stopped in 99' to the ZL1's 100' in 60-0mph tests. ZL1 may have a few extra pounds on the SS too so its a push. Plus silver won't be found in the top two preferences for caliper colours that folks are swapping over to. But they would look hot on a black car with the black ZL1/1LE forged 10 spokes.

This is the one that I have saved on my eBay, same seller:

I think the rear brake calipers are the same ones we already have on our SS? If so you just need the fronts for the upgrade.
BTW ZZP is legit, I've bought countless stuff from their website (and also eBay) back when I was modding my 2008 Impala.

They probably came off a CTSV? That’s my guess.

I put a set of front's on mine a couple of weeks ago. I ended up with about $1400 for calipers, 2 piece rotors, and stock pads. Ily haven't a chance to really see what they can do but I may have given up a little bit of initial bite for more overall stopping power. And yes the "V" is for the CTS-"V".

If your gonna use the our car hard you might want to get the C7 Corvette Grand Sport or Z06 caliper or piston set they are vents and offer a significant decrease in temps during severe conditions.

Well, I didn't go with these this time... instead I just opted for the basic rotor and brake pad replacement. Maybe in 80k miles i'll consider these again...

They just arrived...getting installed tomorrow to replace my worn out set. 158k, last rotor set was swapped out at around 70-80k.
