Another track setup question?!

I was just curious for the semi-active to very active auto-x and road course people, how are you setting your alignment up?? If you wouldn't mind showing your specs, why you set it that way and if you noticed the difference at all.

Thanks for any input!

My car is set up as a daily driver and auto-x car. I have a 32mm rear sway bar, caster locks, and billet radius-arm bushings. I'm running -1.7 degrees of camber up front, -0.8 in the rear. 0 toe up front, and .125 toe-in on each side (for a total of .25) in the rear.

The car still understeers, but the handling is night and day difference from stock and the car rotates so easily now with neutral throttle and any sort of undulation, surface change, or other unsettling activity. I can rotate at will in almost any gear.

Oh, forgot to mention. Despite that much camber, I'm still wearing the outside of the fronts before I wear the inside. I'm putting 10K miles per year on the car in total, and doing 6 to 8 auto-x events per year with an average of 9 runs per auto-x. I tend to take the 'long' way to work in order to enjoy some lateral tomfoolery where safe.

Hey Billy,

You can get another -0.5° out of the stock hardware in front. I also ran half(or less) of what you run in the rear for toe with the same size bar(on my 1LE).

So ill be sure to make my adjustments after this one for sure!

I did a few autox's like a year ago. Got pretty serious with it but it was short lived because my schedule changed at work and I dont have the time for it anymore. Good thing because it was about to get expensive.

Id drive my car to work one day, show up to autox the next with my MPSS tires beating people with 200 tread wear tires. Stock alignment, pfadt trailing arms and toe links, pfadt solid rear subframe bushings. I bought a JPSS 32mm rear sway bar, installed it and didnt get the chance to test it.

I just had my alignment set up and spent 2 days at the track with excellent results. Here's what I had it set to.

Camber -1.8 Front -1.1 Rear
Front Toe .04 inches total toe out (.02 per side)
Rear Toe .06 inches total toe in (.03 per side)

Just had 2 days at Pueblo Motorsports Park, and the car handled like a demon, and my front tires are now wearing more evenly. I didn't have any understeer at all, and the car felt very neutral and behaved well under hard braking. I'm on stock 1LE suspension all around with Z06 brakes in front.
