This car never gets old
I bought this car new March 2010. I have 25,000 miles on it with no issues. It has never seen rain or snow and is garaged. Every time I start this beast I smile from ear to ear. Even on the hottest days I love to cruise around with the windows down to listen to the monster under the hood. Took a long time to get the car of my dreams and it was a great decision. I have been a member on this site for a long time and I know I am in good company! Chevy got this right!

I know the exact feeling your talking about! I have a 2015 convertible in Ashen Gray, like you, every time I get in her I say "this is mine". I just turned 31K and like yours she stays garaged. Unlike yours, I was recently in NJ visiting close friends, on the return trip to NC I got caught in rain. First car that I have ever owned that I have no real inclination of trading in or up. Just came in from polishing the wheels and removing any traces of brake dust from the inside of the wheels. Larry

Cant agree more
Went from a Procharged 2010 2SS/RS to this 2012 ZL1. Ever single time I start it up and go for a cruise I lose 40 years (and a few thousand miles of tire life)

Me too!!! They definitely got the 5th gens right! My 2010 is right at 60,000 and it runs so damn good!

GM sure did one hell of a job when they brought the Camaro back. The 5th gen is truly a great car. IMO, it will one day (quite a ways down the road) be one of the more desirable generations to collect. That's not to say that the car will be super high priced, but it will definitely be more heavily sought after as apposed to some other generations.
Until that date, I'm going to continue to enjoy the heck out of mine because it is really a great car! Nearly 55k miles on it with a fair amount of modifications and it's given me very few problems so far. *knocks on wood

2010 2SS, RS nearing 88,000 miles - daily driver. My daily commute is about 100 miles, can't believe I still have a license.

I fully agree. Owned my 12 2ss/rs for 4 years now. I still turn & look at it when I am walking away from it. Chevrolet couldn't have done a better job of recreating a modern version of the 69. Sometimes I think of upgrading to a ZL1, but this SS has been so good to me, I don't know if I could part with her.

And like the OP said, I love it every day I get into my car. It's a real joy. I'm 56 years old and this is the 5th or 6th Camaro I have owned. And it's my favorite car of the bunch in terms of the overall package of style, power, handling and comfort. |

Steve you’re right about these cars, they are great stress relievers. Have a bad day go carve some curves or hit the gas and open it up. It’s a better addiction than drugs and better for you. Look around you never see a Camaro in a psychiatrist parking lot.

I still have mine (2011).
I never get bored looking at it and the reliability has been a surprise. Never had a car where there were simply no issues. I imagine this is because it was built off of the aussie platform where it needed to be very rugged for the roads there. Later refreshes have been "eh". The 6 gen looks good to me except for that last refresh. Even in person, I think they just don't like this car. |
